Visit measurement (Google Analytics) and cookies

If you choose “Accept” in the banner, we measure visits with Google Analytics 4 (Google Ireland Limited). This tells us how many people visit the site, where they come from and what they do here, for example clicking to book, call or email. We use this to improve the site. The legal basis is your consent (Article 6(1)(a) of the General Data Protection Regulation, GDPR).

Until you consent, no Google script is loaded and no cookie is set. Google signals and ad personalisation are switched off, and we do not use the data for advertising. Google Analytics does not store your IP address.

After you consent, Google Analytics sets these cookies:

• _ga: distinguishes visitors, expires after 2 years;
• _ga_JN17K30DPG: keeps the session state, expires after 2 years.

The site remembers your choice in your browser (local storage, not a cookie) for 6 months, and it applies to every language version. You can withdraw consent at any time with the “Cookie settings” link in the footer: measurement stops immediately and the Google Analytics cookies are deleted.

Google may transfer data to the USA. Transfers rely on the EU-US Data Privacy Framework or standard contractual clauses.

Essential cookie to exclude internal visits

The zv_interno cookie is set only in a browser that we exclude from measurement with a special link (for example our own), so our visits do not distort the statistics. It is never set for other visitors. Duration: 400 days.

Responses to business emails

The maker of this site, Lev Sosič s.p. (zvonec.si), refers to it as an example of his work in his business emails. Links in these emails carry a message tag (for example utm_content=z07). When you open such a link, a shared click log records: the time, the domain and page visited, the message and campaign tags, the country (derived from the network address, which is not stored), the device type (phone or computer) and an estimate of whether the visit is probably an automated link scanner. No IP address or browser details are stored, and no cookies are used for this.

The purpose is to measure responses to business emails. The legal basis is legitimate interest (Article 6(1)(f) GDPR). Records are deleted automatically after 6 months. You can object by writing to lev@zvonec.si.

Enquiry form

If you write to us through the form, your name, email address, preferred dates, number of guests and message are sent to our email address through the Web3Forms service. We use them only to reply to your enquiry (Article 6(1)(b) GDPR).

Map

The location map is provided by OpenStreetMap. It loads only when you scroll to it. At that point your browser sends a request to the OpenStreetMap Foundation’s servers, which receive your IP address. See the OpenStreetMap privacy policy.

Bookings (SnapGuest)

The booking buttons lead to the external SnapGuest service (book.snapguest.si). SnapGuest processes the details you enter there under its own privacy policy, published on its site.

Hosting

The site is hosted by Cloudflare. To deliver pages and protect against abuse, Cloudflare processes technical request data such as the IP address.

Your rights

You can ask at any time for access to your data, its correction or deletion, or restriction of processing; you can object to processing and withdraw your consent. Write to staraposta.apartments@gmail.com. If you believe we process data unlawfully, you can lodge a complaint with the Slovenian Information Commissioner.
